Default 19 in or 20 in wheels

Recently purchased an 04 - white and finally found some 5 spoke wheels I like- now can't decide between 19's or 20's ! in some pics 20's look too large for car, in others 19's look perfect.....any insight welcomed!

Default 19" or 20"?

JKT,
Are you lowering your Sc? I have had both sizes. I am with 20"deep dish Iforged Aero 3 piece wheels, lowered with Tein CS coilover. You can't really tell whether its 19" nor 20" once the car is lowered. If you had deep dish/staggered set up, go with 20". Concave wheels/same spec all around, go with 19". Believe it or not, 20" tyres are better pricing.
Please do not just slap on wheels without research. Check Romil sticky in our Sc430 JKT.
Welcome to CL.
Ned

JKT,
Here is another 20" shot. Be advice that open 5 spoke without BBK/brake up grade will look...."eyes sore" ....as most CL members would descibe.
I first added this set of wheels. I did not like what I saw behind them...ugly calipers, tiny discs, and all kind of unattractive wear n tear factory parts. This took away the value of the wheels. Please keep this in mind.
Take care
Ned

+1, I don't think it's worth getting rims unless you also upgrade or paint the calipers, and get some rotors. Unless the rims you want to buy cover up the calipers/rotors (like the stock pie plates).

Cyberlexus,
so far, I have had two sets of tire. The ones in the pictures above are Yokohama S. Drive 245/35/20 & 275/30/20. Prior to this set, I had toyo T1R 245/35/20 & 285/30/20. Toyo T1R with 285 in the rear, I was fine without any rubbing. Yokohama S.Drive 275 is fine. It would rub if I had 285 S.Drive in the rear. This car is lowered with Tein CS coilovers.
Wheels are Iforged Aero 3 piece 20x8.5 and 20x10.5 with unknown off set but they fit over BBk without any spacers. My best gues is F. 32 + ET and R. 25+ ET.
Lip size: F. 2.25" R. 3.5"
I hope this would help. I had this car adjusted, re-adjusted a few times before I liked how she sat. Take care...Ned

My tires are 245/35ZR20. Rims are 20x8.5 and offset is +43. I have 30mm spacers in the rear, no rubbing. I have 20mm spacers in the front and they rub.

Default I went with 20's on factory suspension

My setup;

FRONT; 20 x 8.5 ET20 offset w/Nexen N7000 245/35ZR20
REAR; 20 x 10 ET25 w/Nexen N7000 275/30ZR20

I thought the wheels fit the SC430 perfectly with the stock suspension (although, if I had kept the car, I would have considered lowering it slightly). They are nice and aggressive; filled out the fender well nicely without any rubbing issues!

If anyone is interested, the wheels are available on ebay right now;

I got 20's for my car, and then sold them and am looking for 19's. It's all personal preference, but I thought they looked too big. Didn't help that the spokes went all the way to the outside of the wheels and had concave faces.

I personally think 19s look much better - 20s just too big for my taste

For those who used both 19s and 20s on their cars: is there any difference in ride quality on the wheels? It is very important in my region, where roads are not perfect and not smooth as in US
