I used this stuff to prep mine with a wire brush, works pretty good: http://www.amazon.com/VHT-Dupli-Colo.../dp/B003BGYWUE. You should get some slotted and drilled rotors If you do, use this coupon, I wish I knew about it when I bought mine. A lot of people are driving with R1 rotors on here:

I've toyed with the idea of slotted/drilled rotors but I think it would be overkill. Red, decaled calipers and those rims with slotted rotors would just be too much going on down there, IMO. To me, there's something to be said about keeping it a luxury car with and having small splashes of sport.

If anyone has a photo of slotted rims with painted calipers and wheels similar to mine, I'd like to see it.

Thanks again.

Hmm...I couldn't find any pics with your style rims. Maybe someone on here has them. I found some other pics though:

Thanks, Redliner. I may have to do some photoshopping to see how mine will look. These all look nice but still too flashy for my taste.

Totally forgot, I've wondered why this page was never sticky'ed. It seemed to get a lot of attention. Just found it in my bookmarked pages. There should be one here somewhere lol: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...k-warning.html

the problem with stock rotors is the rust. slotted rotors wouldn't stand out much more than stock in my opinion. drilled rotors are much more noticeable. if you want to keep it understated but get rid of the rust, i'd go with slotted.

Between painted/"decaled" calipers and the AL pedals...I am loving the caliper upgrade.

But I agree with the above, I plan to paint the rotors too. It is so sucky to look at rusted, discolored rotors. Hence I am going with brush Gray painted primer 1st. And see what it looks like. I may even stay gray.

You're going to paint the rotors too? I didn't know that was possible...?

The hub of the rotor. I hate seeing that cruddy discolored sometime rusty hub. The section that butts into your wheel! It will look nice.

painting should work fine. but getting all that rust off might be a pain. it would definitely require removing them. and this probably goes without saying, but you'd want to mask the surface before painting.

I've been using Centric rotors and pads for quite some time now. Their rotor hubs are painted a nice shiny black and they don't rust. Not too expensive either.

I ordered from xenonmods.com weeks ago and paid by Paypal and nothing. Sent many emails and nothing. Turned in a complaint to Paypal and nothing. But they sure logged into Paypal to get my money I sent them! Fricking SCAM artist!!!

Sorry about what happened. I think I emailed them a while ago and got no response either. I ended up going with this seller on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...#ht_1550wt_905 . I don't see anymore for sale from him, but maybe you could message him. There are some others for sale if you search for Lexus IS caliper decals. Specs of mine: The front are 3.15" long, logos are 1" long. I got the curved ones, I think they look better than straight.
