Default Bluetooth Question

I have a 2002 and looking at a 2006-2007. When I am looking at used ones on Cars.com or Autotrader.com, I do not see any pictures of the phone buttons on the steering wheel. How do you receive and make calls? Is it through the navigation screen or am I just missing the steering wheel buttons? Is the sound quality good?

Thanks!!!

It's through the navigation screen, as far as I know there are no phone controls on the steering wheel.

My '07 has controls on the steering wheel to answer or disconnect a call. They are located behind the stereo volume controls. Dialing out; however, is done from the Nav screen.

I'll suggest it's a combination of poor positioning of the camera angle in the photos you've looked at and positioning of the buttons on the steering wheel control switch. With the telephone buttons positioned to the rear of the VOL and SET buttons they're just hard to see in the pictures unless angled just right.

The illustrated picture below ▼ is from the 2006 Navigation manual which you can find online at http://drivers.lexus.com/lexusdriver...cZ!-1411514763 The manual gives you complete instructions on how to use the integrated bluetooth/nav systems.

BTW the mic is located in the overhead lights assembly by the rear view mirror.

I looked everywhere. What is the other button for? I use the telephone button all the time.

I'm going to banish you back to the owner's manual at or around page 159. The second button is the "Speech Command System:

Consider me banished. I didn't know we had speech command. Thanks for the info.

You'll have to try it out and see how many words it has in its vocabulary. I see cancel and help are there. Wonder if: destination, Map, POIs, numbers street names are understandable too?

Can you help with this?? How do you get your phone numbers manually into the one-touch directory? I have tried with engine on and off, cell phone on and off -- with no luck. Your help will greatly be appreciated.
