BBK or Bodykit First ?

For me, I already have
1) 20 inch wheels staggered. 9.5 front / 11.0 rear
2) Blitz Exhaust.
3) Roof spoiler/aftermarket trunk spoiler.
The kit which I already have a hold on is a full replacement kit including fender flares. Got a really great deal on it but I want to reveal it when its done.

I hate comments like this...as if the stock brakes don't work well or are a safety hazzard.
Since the car has brakes that work fine, it seems to me a bodykit would be the most bang for the buck. The car doesn't have a kit and the SC430 is a car that most need one imo.
I have never done BBK because I thinks it's a waste of money. If I was pushing 450 or more hp, that would be different. Even then I doubt it's really worth it. I drove a G35 for a year. Not a big power car but it was quick and I hit it all the time. I regularly drove the car at 90-120 mph. I found the stock brakes to be more than adequate. They were much better than Lexus brakes for sure. The brakes on the 3GS work pretty good, though. Aren't the same brakes on the SC430?

I'd do the body kit first. For the brakes, you could paint the calipers black to hide them. If you don't want to spend money on rotors, you can try removing the rust and painting the centers and out side edges black. It won't be as pretty as a BBK, but it won't be the eyesore that stock brakes are either.

Do the little legs and feet get hooked to anything? Or do they just flap in the breeze? Or is that what does the stopping? (Fred Flintstone style) They are the biggest brakes I've ever seen! lol

Hey did you do a write up on exactly what you bought (rotor brand), paint used(dupont?) etc on here? If you don't mind can you tell me exactly what you bought as I want to replicate that for the time being... you got me sold that stock brakes can look 100x better. Thanks man

Yea, I agree with your way of thinking. Unless I do FI for performance wise no one really 'needs' BBK. My only reason which I am not ashamed to admit for getting a BBK is for looks to fill that 'emptiness' with 20 inch 'open' wheel design...
I believe BBK doesn't actually reduce braking distance rather than it improves significantly braking FEEL. ** I could be wrong but I swear I remember reading threads on here saying this**
