I am ordering a LuxLink to lower the top remotely -- rear window option worth it?

However...there's a CBEST setting that can negate this. I'm not exactly sure which one (JohnnyCake had to find it on his) but it unlocks the doors after the igition shuts off. If this setting is enabled, you'll lock the car as the top is going up and, as soon as the top is up and the LuxLink releases control, the doors will unlock!

That's why I was warning people...IF this particular CBEST setting is enabled, you will NOT be able to hit the lock button and walk away (well, you'll be able to do it, but the car will override your wishes and unlock the car anyway!)

Yes, everything is back on track. We had a small little hook up with some parts but everything is ok now. Everyone, please say thank you to Darrin for getting this back on track. The cases are here, the harnesses are here, all we are waiting for are the boards now.

I talked with Steve today. The parts are in but he needs some more connectors, then the kits have to be assembled.
He thought that shipping is ~3-4 weeks out.

PS) He said that he may have about 5-10 extra kits after the 39, that he has checks for, have shipped.

I wonder if you could install a momentary switch in the power line to the Luxlink and reset it without having to turn the ignition off and back on to cycle between controlling the rear windows and the top.

It's not the LuxLink that needs to power cycled; it's the the top computer in the car. When you change the position of the rear windows, the top computer senses that something's wrong, and locks out the top.
