Caliper painting and decal
#16
mandyfig, You may heve seen my update on the MGP covers so I just got back from looking at various paint options at a couple of auto part stores. The more I looked the more confused I got so figured I'd better do more research before choosing which option to go with. I only want to have to do this once...also noticed several of the paints specified humidity lower than 50% and temps less than 90 degrees F when applied. That's a problem here in Florida right now. lol May just put this off till fall when it cools down a bit. Also may look into just having it done at a shop since I will have to do one wheel at a time otherwise and don't want the car tied up for a long period of time since it is my daily driver.

It was going to be a lot of work, so I did a short cut, only painted the area where the stickers would go. Otherwise would have been a pain and would have required to take off the caliper to get to the nooks and crannies, which I did on my TL.

Speakers first. Then spacers, caliper painting, with decal.

Thanks, Mandy...I may try the grill paint...Anyone know where one can find the Lexus decals that are curved in the US? I found them on Ebay but from GB...would prefer more local if anyone knows of a source? Thanks.

You seldom see plain calipers without the makers name on it nowadays, on the high end cars.

I found the curved decals over there and you found them over here!!!!! that's strange!
Please let me have the details of where you purchased them in the UK.
Best regards
