Default No comment?

Lots of views and no comments? Are videos ok? Too long, too short, too boring? Learn anything new? I was hoping those that are buying luxlink could get a better idea on what its all about. Also, it might give some folks ideas about what can be done with the ML system by using NavTool and VaisTech. In my case I put the RCA jacks in the console to leave me some options with DVD player/IPOD/Video games.... The wood dash came out kind of odd because the wood can look lighter/darker depending what angle you look at it. The insert by the shifter looks like it is original to the rest of the console, whereas the nav trim looks quite different from the dash panels. Comments, please.

Seriously, good vids!

The videos are great!

Well Done!

I love your garage!

Can you get just the wood piece for the shifter or do you have to buy the whole kit?

Thanks for the compliments guys. The inserts come as a kit-not separate pieces. Sorry.

John-WOW! I've got a nice little find for you that I'll share in my Starbucks Saturday Car post soon that you will like .

I especially loved your third video with the toys. I have about the same amount of 1:18's as you but also have a coveted 1:43 collection with both tops up and down that I love. I have about 30 of them...believe it or not I found on eBay for $20 for the whole entire case! The 1:18's with the working tops are my absolute favorite. A few years ago (your shop reminds me of what I did) I took the stock pie plates off and ordered some "dubs" 20" chrome wheels to scale for the model cars. I have them on three of my cars. I posted a while back...I'll have to find the thread.

I also have an extensive literature collection...love the Lexus Story Book, but you are missing a great/inexpensive piece of literature all SCers must have: The Car and Driver Sexy Lexy (absolutely red on cover) magazine. I'll post it here in a second.

Your garage is amazing! I would pay to come in and play...take a tour! Wish I was in CA or you were in TX. Your my garage idol!!! Need to paint my floor like you have done and get some display cases.

Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. Great post and videos.

2004 SC430 brochure (I think you said you needed this one)...actually two brochures a German one-I have it and it is thicker and nicer than the US ones, and the standard US one which is a little pricey, but nice. The German one ships from La Jolla!

http://cgi.ebay.com/2004-Lexus-SC430...item43a65b79be

I have been hunting forever for the 2005 brochure and the only one I found was a UK brochure (you can search the foreign eBay sites) and I bought it, but unfortunately it was for the 2006 car!!!!

This is the so called 2005 one I bought overseas, but it is for the 2006 car:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Lexus-SC430-Broc...item56357e8db7

Honestly either they didn't make a brochure for the 2005 car (because the 2006 was coming) or it is very very rare because I've never seen one. My fav is the official 2006 one with the white yatch and the mercury metallic 2006 SC in southern France (Monaco, I believe...aka monte carlo).

Droptop-btw, my displays are actually cd storage cases that I bought at IKEA. I added about 50% more plexiglass shelves. The original shelves are made of real glass. I added led lights at the top of each as well as cans in the ceilingand both sets of lights work off wall switches. In my opinion, there was cooler stuff available for the SC 3 years ago on ebay. Now 90% is the same stuff-led lights and so forth. Not as much selection and way too many pages.

I absolutely love the JADA die cast cars...I have about three of them but should ****** up some of these less than $10...very cool with the lowered and the dubs on it!

Here's a white one for you, John!

http://cgi.ebay.com/JADA-BIGTIME-LEX...item5d2e265ac7

A gorgeous electric blue 1:24...

http://cgi.ebay.com/JADA-DUB-CITY-LE...item3cb6e87807

beautiful and rare 1:18 red with nice red dubs on it!!!

http://cgi.ebay.com/1-18-SCALE-MAIST...item2a0f9e870f

Dub city Kustoms also did a SC430 in blue, red and white I belive with the top down on a larger scale:

http://cgi.ebay.com/JADA-DUB-CITY-KU...item27ba1b3a21

http://cgi.ebay.com/Dub-City-1-24-di...item2c5bc7c2e9

I am not crazy about the level of detail for these 1:38 cars, but just to have one would be sufficient for an enthusiast collector of die casts like you and I...

http://cgi.ebay.com/Tins-Toys-Lexus-...item439cea7118

Minichamps makes a slightly better mid-sized die cast:
http://cgi.ebay.com/1-43-Minichamps-...item230f184f45

The Welly 1:43 and Maitso (same mfg plant) are much better and are very accurate and also pull back too and doors open.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Lexus-SC-430-Spo...item19c476c3aa

****The absolute best is Kyosho. They always have been IMO the most detailed best die cast mfg. Unfortunately they never made a large SC or at least one that I could find. Here is a nice mid sized...kinda pricey, but rare:
http://cgi.ebay.com/1-43-J-Collectio...item53ddee7e1b

Rare silver JADA: http://cgi.ebay.com/Jada-Lexus-SC430...item1c18b894e1

Here's a top up champagne SC 1:18 for a great price:

http://cgi.ebay.com/MAISTO-1-18-DIE-...item1c1ad74c09

Great priced silver with top down 1:18:

http://cgi.ebay.com/MAISTO-LEXUS-SC-...item483ea39bd6

$15 would be a steal for this black working top 1:18 model (very rare):

http://cgi.ebay.com/1-18th-die-cast-...item2eb473a3f5

Very very very rare Burago (I should buy this!) in 1:18 very pricey too:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Burago-Lexus-SC-...item43a04133f5

Finally I love this Playerz Die Cast in 1:18 white for you John:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Lexus-SC430-Play...item3a4eae463a

Just a tip for those of you getting into die cast collecting:

You can find some great deals overseas and some rare cars on eBay. Open up your searches to international and also search the foreign eBay sites.

Example...this gold 1:43 cheap from UK:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Lexus-SC-430-Spo...item19c476c3aa

Here is also a rare Welly in 1:24 in white!!!
