By the way, Native Americans DON'T want to be assimilated into us. They just want to be left alone for the most part. I spent a week on the Acoma Reservation in New Mexico back in 1992. A friend of mine that is a hard core biker had a buddy that was also a member of the same "club" and a full blooded Acoma. We were invited to visit him and stayed a week. I met a bunch of really nice folks. Very family oriented and caring. They have very strong beliefs (no Christians here.......). On the Res, you are subject to Tribal Laws and not US Law.

We stayed in the guys house which was Mexican style......flat roof, adobe stucco. It sure was an experience. The Acomas hold no grudges against whites. The local guy from Indian Affairs was Italian American also !

Finally, someone else who isn't afraid to be 'politically incorrect'!

I find no fault in wanting the USA to have English as the recognized national language and that everything be in English (Not spanish, Russian or any other language)...

BUT I must agree on your point on Native Americans too! After all, they were here first! If they want to make sure nothing is in English where they live, that is totally their right.. and the fact that I am not allowed on certain areas of Native American land, does not bother me a bit!

....now I want to know if there anyplace left in the USA that doesn't have the 'Russian Invasion'. I think I liked it much better with Russia as our enemy! I can't even go to my towns beach now without being surrounded by LOUD Russian Speaking folks. So this year I haven't even gone to the beach that is only 3 blocks from where I live becaue of it ..and I thought I was still in the USA!

Being Russian or Spanish or Italian or WHATEVER heritage doesn't bother me a bit.. after all, we are a Melting pot in the USA.. but for god sakes... learn the language just like my mom and dad did when they came to this country!

Yes, I am a 1st generation American with European parents who learned the language when they came to the USA legally and became US citizens.. AND yes, they took the test in English.. it is so sad that folks can now take it other languages.. PLEASE!!!!

You're pretty much on target there "C" (can I call you that for short ?). I agree, learn the language and until you become a CITIZEN...........act like a GUEST in my country !!

Well I havent posted in a while, but summer is all but over. Well there are now 3 Italian-Americans in this forum....but mines pearl white sorry. No wonder you guys have such attitudes, as do I....ahhh another stereotype right. I just cant wait for the Sopranos to come back on.....thats when everyone thinks they are italian....especially here where I live and I know you dont live far Larry.

As for the Indians they are left alone, but they are still subject to US laws....doesnt mean they can just go around killing people. I dont much agree with this. They dont have to pay taxes on their damn casinos, but they can frelly invest that money in internet stocks and etc and not have to pay, thats a bunch of BS. If you guys are interested in this you can check the Indian act of like 1800something. It seems to be crumbly though as they just recently lost the right to tax free pull tabs (gambling) supreme court said you gotta pay. We are all Americans, do what you want, but what really pisses me off is when people say they are from the best country ever, puerto rico, colombia and etc. Well go back there then. This is the best country ever and i am first an american and second an italian. ok enough.....lol
