Default Decision

With 10-6 in favor of a plate, I mounted it. And I chose the factory bracket, because the Skene sits too low on the bumper for me (looks too jimmy-rigged). Next owners problem. Thanks for all the input!

...I drive mine daily and live within a few blocks of the police station and have never had an issue.I do know that Texas requires a front plate, but so far so good.I figured if I ever got a ticket,I would probably put it on...but hope I haven't jinxed myself...lol !!!

Arizona does not require front plates either.. I am so happy about that.

Default Bumper Plugs

In debating this I stumbled upon www.bumperplugs.com -- in case anyone is interested, you can order plugs in factory paint colors to conceal the holes if you ever remove a front plate. Not as good as a clean bumper, but pretty darn close in my opinion.

Luckily, they're not required where I live. But if I did have to mount one, I'd get this.

Good choice, save YOUR money. I would not worry about the mounted plate affecting the value. There are too many states that require them. A smart person will not pass up a good car for plates in the front. And since your state requires them most of the selling competition will be in the same boat. Here in VA we have to have them, so I didn't evern think about it.

This is a $65K car. Filling it with gas costs $80.
$50 to keep the bumper clean is a no-brainer.
