It just dawned on me (duhhh) that since I work for a Japanese company and have lots of contacts in Japan that I could ask one of my friends if they could check out the availability of these over there (gee, nice grammer). They would have the "Soarer" emblem, but who cares.
If this works out, i may be the first one in the states to have them. Eat your hearts out guys ! (heh, heh, heh....)
Seriously, I'll keep you folks posted.

Please Ed, feel free to take a shot anytime you want ! If you haven't noticed, I'm the first one with a sarcastic reply to everyone else on the forum (it's all in fun of course). I can take it as well as dish it out.
Are you far up state NY (here on L.I., we consider Westchester "upstate"). I want to take a ride up when the leaves start to change color. When's best foe that ? Mid October or so ?

Larry,
I was wondering, could you really get ahold of Soarer emblems/badges( for the sc430 not the 300/400)? and where are you on Long Island, I'm over in StonyBrook.

Magus,
I'm in Nesconset. You're just a stones throw from me. I have a silver/black SC. I also have good friends in Stony Brook. My buddy has a Laguna Blue M3 Convertible on Aspen Lane.
I just found out that a Japanese guy that use to work here that I knew went back to Japan two years ago. Apparently, his father owns the 3rd largest Toyota Dealership in Japan !!
I'm waiting to hear from a friend of his (that is a friend of mine) as to whether or not he can get my wheel caps. I'll ask him about the emblems also.

Larry ...
I live near Binghamton which is very near the PA border, 80 miles due south from Syracuse. Personally, I live even further south of Binghamton in a town called Vestal (don't ask about Vestal Virgins) a scant four miles from PA.
The trees here are just beginning to turn and it's always a crapshoot as to when "peak" foliage will occur. The most stunning foliage I've ever experienced was a time when I just happened to visit a friend in Vermont and got there (without planning) during the peak week. Incredible.
Starting last week, the local paper began publishing their annual foliage watch which lists areas of New York and New England and the percentage of "turn". I expect the New York Slimes also publishes the same kind of thing.
If you go here:
http://www.roundthebend.com/nysfoli.html
you'll find some information about foliage in the state by area. Included are suggested routes and a phone number to get the latest information.
I would not go driving up in Vermont during September and October and expect to get a room without having a reservation, so be aware.

Right now Im in SUNY Stonybrook, my cars back home in Rockland County. Thats very cool knowing another 430 owner lives close by, I always read about how everyone in CL knows one another from meets, but all the meets are far from the Tri-state area. And thanks for looking into the badges.
