New to the Club. Purchased a 2002 SC430. Silver with black interior. One owner 33,000 miles, completely stock, still has "new car" smell. My first Lexus, Looking forward to learning a lot about these cars on this forum. Anxious to start personalizing it.
sounds like you found a really nice SC430, Congratulations and Welcome to Club Lexus!
We (wife and I) just got a 06 SC430 with 55K miles. Car is in perfect condition and drives like brand new. It's the Mica Red color. Love it! Looking to upgrade the Nav System and Stereo and maybe some body upgrades? Exhaust? hmmm. I'm excited. Can you tell?

My fresh JDM... a 2001 Toyota Soarer C'mon Spring! Yes, I live in the Canadian Rockies... so patiently waiting for non-freezing temperatures.I work in mine engineering, love rugby, photography, and driving a wee bit over the posted speed limits.
Congrats! It would be new for you too sitting in passenger seat driving
I'm afraid driving on the left is the exception to the rule, lol. This is my fourth RHD import. I also have a Mitsubishi Pajero 2.8TD and the wife drives a Toyota Harrier (Lex RX300) and sold my Hilux about 4 years ago. I worked in Aussie for several years and then found about the JDM secret and haven't looked back.
I am back. I sold my 2002 SC4230 about 5 years ago and left the forum. This week I sold my LS460 and went back to an SC430. Rationally, this was a stupid move. Emotionally, a great move. I had missed my 02 since the day I sold it.
My 05 is silver (the 02 was blue), with euro interior. The light interior is important since I live in Charleston SC and it gets a little warm here sometimes. It sure is nice to be excited about the car and driving again. At least when I am driving 80+ mph I know it!!! I would to thank everyone in advance for posting information about SC 430's. Hopefully I may be able to contribute.
Hi Gang,
First of all, I would like to thank the moderators for their dedication and their in-depth knowledge on SC430! I have spent hours reading all of your post and grateful for the knowledge. I have been in the market for a SC 430 and found several beauties, I would love ALL your professional inputs and advice on my two choices...
1. PB 2007 SC430 for $21,000 with 84K : 3 owners, no accidents, maintenance records stated, but I have not viewed them.
2. 2002 SC430 for $9,000 with with 107K (Red/Ecu) 1 owner, no accidents, Maintenance records missing ( private mechanic) However, Lexus does show oil changes regularly.
Your advice would be greatly appreciated.... I know you recommend 2006 and greater, do you think 21K is a good price for a PB "Candy Cane" ?
With a deep respect, Linda
