Good evening guys. New owner of a 2005 SC430 in Silver with Ecru interior. 58k on the OD. ML audio system is in bad shape so I’m replacing with aftermarket using the Beatsonic module. Tinting the windows soon and having some cosmetic exterior work done to repair small dents and paint issues. Overall, I’m very pleased. Wasn’t really looking for this car but was presented with the opportunity to buy it cheap. It wasn’t running after sitting for almost a year. Lexus dealership got it running after an electrical issue was diagnosed. I’ve always had a love for these cars as they run the same drivetrain as the LS430 I owned in the past. Looking forward to driving and enjoying this car in the future.

I’m embarrassed to say what I paid for the car because it was so low. Had the car been in running condition I probably wouldn’t have bought it because it would have been above my budget. I lucked out with the vehicle. I bought it knowing the car could potentially have complicated electrical issues that could be a wild goose chase to repair. It ended up being a simple fix that the owner didn’t want to deal with. My situation was definitely not the norm.

I have been a lurker on this site for a few years. I bought my wife a 2002 SC430, silver with a black interior way back in 2009, in Canada, from a neighbour. He originally brought it up from the US when the Canadian peso was closer to the USD. The car was purchased from Lexus of Greenwich in CT.
The car has 86,000 mi on it and has always been stored inside and the paint is outstanding. It has mainly been a summer driver and road trip car. Love the high speed handling and the stereo ...not so much the navigating and weight in parking lots. These cars have a pretty big following in Vancouver, not so much in Victoria where I am.
No significant mods yet, had to have 6x9 speakers re-foamed but I did the R & R, I replaced original antenna with stock and I just finished pulling out trunk and upgrading nav system to a 2005 DVD player and new 2015 disc from Lexus....so far made NAV way more useful...especially in mountains. All these little mods I researched on club Lexus and read and informed myself and I appreciate all the members that contributed. Always found VViBob's posts interesting.
Plan to start using car more and in BC in a few years may even be able to register it as a Collector....LOL...

Usually it's the other way around.

I'll make it the second time. When we bought our car, it needed tires and the seller agreed to replacing them as part of the deal. He asked me runflats, or conventional and I opted for the runflats, figured that was the stock arrangement so I just went with that.
Hello guys been a long time I’ve just bought another SC430, this will be my 3rd since 2016.
its an April 2007 in Winsor Blue with Rutland leather , 59000 miles on the clock .
Have cleaned and painted brakes and suspension , fixed a water leak in the trunk, replaced rear parking sensors, plus service work.
