Default Unusual noise from suspension

Hello,
I've been hearing an unusual noise when driving over large bumps in the road. It sounds like I just drove over crushed soda cans or crushing a soda can. I've looked under the car and search this site but can't seem to find any information.
Perhaps the leaf springs?

you don't have "leaf springs" you have shocks. If your shock gave out then you might have a noise when you go over larger dips in the road because your shock is "bottoming out" so you need to replace them. You can upgrade to coilovers to get a better ride and the ability to lower your car a bit if that is a look that you are going for. You will be spending a few more $ for the coilovers but some say it is the way to go. Good luck
