The good thing about tint is, it's cheap and you can easily take it off if you don't like it. I've never seen it on an SC430, but my friend used to have it on his Honda Civic. I wasn't a fan, it made it look very cheap. The key would be to exactly match the indigo blue paint of your car.

Thanks man, you're right. I think I'll go with charcoal film instead. I've been researching and so far, I haven't seen not even one decent looking blue tint job, unless it was a beemer or benz

Upload some pics when you have it finished. What % tint do you plan on getting?

I'd be interested as well in the outcome. I am looking for a Bronze colored film that doesn't look cheesy too... something that will work with my car color.

35%. I'm not sure but I think the more subtle with color film, the better as far as avoiding, as Guy said, "cheeziness" LOL

I def will be posting some pics up once the job is done. but Redliner hit the nail on the head, you have to have a pretty good match to paint

I got my tint done at Pro Tint in Plano, TX. They had the Huper Optik tint just like I wanted - they're not "cheap" but they're really good.

I like them or Alta Mere in Dallas on Lemmon right next to Bob's Steakhouse. Both do great work.

Huy & Robertrios - post some pictures of your tinting, if a picture will do it justice. That may help Mesmerize1 make a decision (along with others who may be considering it).

I took some quick shots of the car in the garage - it's a lighter tint but does a great job with reflecting the heat and such. I'll try to get some better ones as soon as it clears out. Might be a few days since DFW is getting some storms for a while:

please don't get colored tint… just stick to classic black and it will look the best. IMO colored tint looks cheap and cheesy. I would recommend getting a ceramic tint as they do a really good job at keeping out the heat, and are a less shiny that metallic tints so I think it looks really classy.

Blue tint looks good if it's light like the stock Mercedes' tint.
