Unhappy Code P0153 - Help

I need your help! I got my new cats and headers installed and my car is throwing the code P0153. The code was cleared and came back after restarting the car. I know it has something to do with the oxygen sensor...Any thoughts of what it could be and how to diagnose/fix?

I assume you kept all four O2 sensors, two each bank (one in front of cat convt and one behind). Did you use the old sensors, they are rather delicate and can be damaged if knocked around. Perhaps one of the wires was pulled out of the connector or harness.

Yea, the old sensors were used. That could definitely be the case, I can look into buying another sensor and seeing if that does the trick, thanks

yup what he said.. i would first make sure that the sensors and securely plugged in, and when i say this i mean plug in to the harness. if it is then I would look at getting a new sensor

A 153 error is the O2 sensor bank 2 (passenger side) sensor 1.
The issue surrounds fuel mix and time to detect and uses second trip logic. ie car warmed up. With the work you had done, most likely problem is a short.
