we have a detailing section on our forum, check out Greg@DI he one of are Ventors CL Sponsors and his 24hr Restorative Detail then you will find out what detailing is all about. its not wash and wax.
I'm sure yours have better result as it involve more work and more layers of goodies.

Mine was done by a guy work in a body shop and take detailing side job on weekend. He did wet sand, clay, polish, and wax where the return result looks like a new car in the showroom. However, its hard to bring my Azure Pearl sc into super shine due to the nature of the light color. My friend's black LS430 was alot more shinny (minor shine) than mine as we did it together with same process. Anyway, we are happy with the result. The SC looks much shinny then the day I bought it (dealer detail was done on the car prior to pick-up)

your car looks very good. there is a lot of work in detailing a car. i never realized how much till i watched it being done.

i think you would be surprised with the right stuff and properly done you would not believe what can be done.

Yes, I believe it can be done better with right stuff......post some pics of your great result so we can be jealous on it

Due to the color, my car actually look alot more shine at night. It looks bright silver under white light

I'm too cheap to spend that much on detailing since I just ordered a set of new wheel & now have to shop for new tires.....damn 19" tire cost more than 20"........

I did a complete detail on my SC430 back in April, same process...wash, sand, clay, polish, buffer, wipe.......& interior. It took 5 hour & it was $120 + $20 tip (optional). I'm happy with teh result but I'm sure there's better one out there

Here a picture after the detail:
Wow, a fantastic job, you got a lot for your money! Love the results, just a gorgeous SC!
