Whoo whoo! Were very excited to say the least.
The car has 29,700 miles (2003)
Should I have a 30k mile service done or change the transmission fluid.
The dealer over charges for this so we will have our import repair center handle it.
TIA

Welcome to the club
Lexus vehicles use toyota trans fluid T IV (t-4).If your local import shop changes your fluid its very doubtful they have T-IV in their flushing machine.206.00 at lexus dealer with 16 qts of fluid and 1qt trans flush.Driving the 2010 rx 350 was nice also with them buying gas,of course they always do an inspection to find anything that could possibly go wrong.I also had to replace a PS pump on my 99 ls,I highly recommend you join sewell parts online through Club Lexus, saved me almost 300 bucks on just the pump.My best advice is to buy OEM as cheap as possible, aftermarket parts tend to fail prematurly and your left replacing them again. Good Luck and enjoy your SC

Go to a Toyota dealer for oil changes and other PMs, same parts and technician training is the same, about 30% less expensive, good luck ! Anything with the roof go straight to a Lexus dealer!
