Default Naviation/technical help

Hello. I'm new to the site and just purchased a 2002 SC430. Everything is great except the navigation screen is stuck on the main "I Agree" page. I left the screen on and eventually it said "Unable to read data". First thing I did was check the disc and it appears to e the original disc with no issues. Next, I borrowed my neighbors newer disc in case it had been previously updated. Still nothing....when I tap "I agree" the buttton turns green but the screen stays frozen. Any advice? Thanks!!

Well one issue will be upgrading the operating system's firmware.... by inserting your neighbor's "newer disk" the firmware was upgraded and no longer backwards compatible with your original disk. The 2002 model year car has a Gen 2/3 system with a the current version being 10.1. Disks are published annually in the Sept/Oct time period. Disks are already a year old when published. Here's the link to map info on the LEXUS drivers site. https://secure.drivers.lexus.com/lex...igationmaps.do

From your description so far, it sounds like you may have a read problem with NAV ECU.

BTW welcome to the forum. Was this the first time this has happened? i.e. was it working before and this problem just started?
