Hi All,
I have been driving my lovely SC430 for 3 weeks now an absoluetely ADORE the ride. However I have pretty bad roof rattling, creaking and squeaking. This is usually terrible on bad roads but also VERY noticable on smooth/perfect roads. I read several threads on this, seems some folks have this issue and others dont. I dont want to go to the local Stealership and spend weeks and thousands of dollars there so I took the advice from another thread and used a nice Silicone lube around the rubber and hinges/connecters. This helped a LOT and almost instantaneously CURED my problems. BUt after 24 hours the noise is right back. I am not sure what to do....I have runflats and wondering if switching to regular tires will cure this? Right now the only way to have a relaxing drive is with the top down or the music up real loud....any advice appreciated.
Thanks!

There was a thread a while back (a year or two ago?) about adjusting the rubber spacers in the back. By raising them up a bit, you may be able to eliminate your noise.

Hi All,
I tried adjusting the **** so it sits higher but unfortunately it did nothing for me, still have the same rattles, creaks and squeeks.....driving me nuts. Alos used silicone spray extensively but it didnt help. Wondering what to do next, maybe just need to live with it, buit what the point if you cant get the true "lexus experience"

Hi , it's from the outside (front side of roof, not back), seems to be coming from over the passesnger visor but on the outside not inside. Lubing it gets rid of the sound until i hit a bump and then it comes right back. Top up only, when top is down, everything is PERFECT.
Thanks!
Thanks!

just came back from a drive and have a migrane from the annoying sound - it sounds like popping bubble wrap and can be heard OVER the stereo even when i play it on the louder side. I Love the car but actually the thought of selling her is entering my mind if i cant resolve this...I was really hoping the "****" trick and silicone spray would help, but to no avail...
