Thinking of Selling my 2009 SC 430 Pebble Beach
#61
Prices are not going down. I was looking for a white color, the dealer in Newport Beach, CA. called me at 10 AM and by the time I got there at 2:00 PM it was sold. It was a 2005 with 45K miles and they got $35K for it. Yesterday I bought a 2004 with 20K miles for $27K. It's like new.

I agree, but other dealers are getting the same kind of money for similar cars. The supply of these cars is very limited. I actually bought the car for my wife but I drove it a couple of times and it seem very underpowered to me. The car has a perfect maintenance record on the dealer's web site. Is there anything I need to do to such as replacing plug or coils, etc, to make it move better? The car supposedly has around 300 hps --- relative the moderate weight, it should move pretty good.

The SC430 is not really a sports car, it is a sporty luxury car. That being said, it has some idiosyncrasies that are annoying when it comes to performance. There are several threads that deal with the engine lag and the crazy way that the ECU "learns" how you drive and adjusts (downward) performance to it to achieve better mpg, I guess. You can easily reset the ECU and bring it to a much more responsive performance level (see afore mentioned threads), or set it to performance on the three position button on the console. Others have added the Sprint Booster (or others) that helps get rid of the lag.
Otherwise, there are lots of suggestions from little to big on this forum. Use the search feature to find them.

Besides, who cares if it goes 150Mph? What's the point?
