With most cars you can't get the hood open unless you activate the hood release from inside the car.that makes it difficult or impossible to disconnect the battery..

Yesterday I locked my keys in the car on the driver's seat. Luckily the top was down but the windows up. I had to climb in from the back. Used an umbrella to move the keys to where I could retrieve them. Today with an extra set of keys, I'm going to test to see if I can lock them in the car with the top up. I'm hoping it was just a top down thing.

You WILL lock the key in the car. If your key is inserted into the ignition AND not turn on then the car WILL NOT lock because it senses the key in it, BUT, if the car is running, obviusly the key is in the ignition and the car WILL lock.
I don't think the top up/down and /or the window up/down has anything to do with it.

I recently lost my master key and the shell to my spare key broken. Does the precut key from Sewell come with the chip in it that will allow me to program it myself?

My husband locked the key in truck and we had AAA unlock doors but alarm kept going off and would not release the trunk. But found out how to open the the trunk, in the center counsel open it, at bottom back there is a cover, remove it, after you remove it there is a wire, pull it until it comes out. This releases the trunk. You will hear it open. This works on Lexus 2002 SC 430.

LL is the Luxlink remote auto start & auto remote drop the top or raise the top . You also can just tap the top button twice and the roof goes up or down you dont have to hold the top button. It is truly the best mod of all

Luxlink was a fantastic aftermarket option and it is too bad they do not make it anymore. You could get lucky and find someone with one to sell...

I assumed this fault could not happen until I locked myself
out today. I believe what I did was get out and hit the unlock
switch on the driver door as I often do so the locked passenger
door could be opened from the outside. But I must have hit
the lock portion of that rocker switch.
Luckily I found this fault out (definitely a fault) while in my
drive and had another key in the house. Guess I should
now buy another and glue it somewhere.
