Friends,
I am wondering if a spare time from a 2000 Nissan Maxima will fit the SC430. The Maxima normally comes with 16 inch wheels. The Nissan spare tire fits in the trunk tire compartment of the SC430. Assuming I can use it, all I need now is a tire cover.
The specs on the Maxima tire are:
Aspect Ratio: 70
Section Width: 125
Rim Diameter: 16
Please let me know if you think the tire will work on the SC430. Thank you.

It appears the SC430 spare tire has the following specs:
T145/70R17
Does this mean I can't use the Maxima spare tire in an emergency, or will it simply sit lower?

First let me say that I really do not know & I am not in your shoes.
I got lucky, I found a used Toyota Supra SpaceSaver spare tire/wheel.
I might suggest:
1. Get the Nissan spare & try it on both the front & rear of your car.
2. Try to find out the circumference of the Lexus spare tire ( anyone ??? ).
3. Try to find out the circumference of the Nissan spare tire & see how it compares.
Hope that this helps somewhat,

I have a nissan wheel for my spare, I did put that info. on a thread somewhere, sometime ago. I'll have to go out and check. I think it's 175, I know it's bigger than a supra spare tire. It does fit in the space for a spare, it rides higher,it tight, it also fits the front and the back. I put it on and spun the wheels. No I do not have big brakes just stock. I keep it in the garage, and not in the car, takes up too much room. IMHO.

Well I checked, and here is what I got T155/80R17 100M Bridgestone tire. On the rim is stamped 17X4T TOPY 1 13 04 2.6 40300 05070 NISSON. Tire dia. 26 3/4" approx. and circumference is 84 5/8". I picked this up at a local hubcap store which has since gone out of business I didn't think to ask what vehicle it came from when I purchased it.
Hope this helps. I'm not sure that a 16" rim would fit over the brakes.

Thanks everyone for your responses.
SteadyEddy, I appreciate you looking into this. The difference is that you have a 17 inch tire and I have a 16 inch tire, so it seems my best bet is to try the tire and see if it fits over the stock breaks... I'm afraid it may not.
I will let you guys know.
