I just returned from my dealer on the third trip to have the Daytime running Lights shut off. The service guy first told me it could never be done, only on the ES he said. Then on my second trip, after posting here at CL, I told him it could be done and he wanted to see printouts. Finally, today, on my THIRD trip I showed him the printouts that I got from ClubLexus & sure enough he tried dodging the bullet again!!! He said he would have to call Lexus and "check on it".

IMO from the start this Service Dept. was FULL OF S***. They knew from day one they could be shut off, why they wouldn't do this for me is beyond me. This is my car for the next 3 years and if I want those daam DRL's off I should have them off! I got my salesman involved & even he was acting strange. Do we live in the United States or North Korea??

My salesman had to go to the GM to get authorization and he okayed it. He only okayed it cuz I had the printouts!!!! Finally after 2 months!!!! It took less than 2 minutes to turn them off & now I am super-happy!! Thanks to all the CL members who gave me intelligence on this matter!!!
