My mechanic that did the install and does my inspections says yes, it will pass.

It's all installed, looks good, can feel a difference in acceleration, and not too loud.
hey, how about a sound clip of the sound?

i dont know why it denotes that it stops at 2005, i have the headers on my 06 LS. and they made the prototypes on my 01 LS.

mild steel headers are like butter under heat stress and easily crack. stainless steel is the only way to go with headers.

i never realized that. i would think that after all the vehicles that i have had with mild steel headers that i would have seen a crack. they are jethot coated which keep them 200 degrees cooler which is enough for me to stick with mild steel since stainless retains more heat. i suppose me living in phoenix with mild steel prototype headers and putting 35k miles on them i would have seen a crack already. thanks for the info i may have to get rid of these LOL

And headers??? Megan makes a test pipe, but I believe this will not make your SC pass any smog tests. Do some searches on that.

For a little over $800 you can add almost a complete cat-back Megan system which IMO is a good price.
Update on test pipes:

Spoke with a couple of mechanics today about test pipes and Texas state inspections. Turns out on newer model cars, all they look for is OBD codes during inspection. So if I have test pipes with O2 simulators and am not throwing codes, should be able to get away with it. I'm gonna give it a try.

Thats cool. How is the sound now that it has broke in? Any different? Louder? Do you smell exhaust fumes from the 3rd CAT being deleted?
