Today I had a problem of my diet coke being too tall and it turned over as I backed out of my driveway. I stuffed towels down around the seat track to try and soak up the mess. I moved the seat forward and backwards in order to reach everything. Somewhere along the line I noticed the seat started beeping when I moved it back. I don't remember that happening before. The passenger seat doesn't do that. I would appreciate any ideas on the beeping and what I should do with the carpet. The spill was confined to the seat and the carpet under the seat and the area between the seat and rail.

Unsub-don't fear, you just reset the seat memory most likely if you went all the way back and forth. Do a quick search and you will see a TON of discussions around this. In a nut shell: move seat all the way back, then tilt all the way back then move all the way forward. I just had this happen to me a month ago having my luxlink installed. Hope the DC comes out that could be nasty on a ecru or camel interior!

Hi UnSub,
Water is your friend. When I have had this happen ( luckily not the SC ) I used very well soaked towels to saturate the carpet, then damp towels to begin mopping up, and then somewhat dry to do final cleanup. And it may take more than one attempt.
Good luck,
Jerry Baumchen
