In my opinion, anyone who criticize a Lexus for being too quiet and boring, completely misunderstood the design intent of Lexus cars.
This Justin Berkowitz guy probably think rock concerts are too loud and libraries are too quiet. Completely miss the point.

Interesting Reviews of SC430 from Ten Years Ago
As a new owner of a 2002, it amazes me the car is over ten years old. Below is review of the car from ten years ago which I found fairly interesting.

Why are there so many haters?
From Orange Skinned Old Ladies and thier Dentists?
So much hate in one review, I needed to take a shower after reading it.
I know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but out right hate?
I dont think I ever hated a car. (Except maybe a Yugo) but C'mon.
I was riding with the top down and after a wash and a wax and I felt like the king. I look for other SC430's so I can give the SC430 wave but I really dont see too many.

The first line reveals the author's bias. In the case of Lexus, their flagship and brand is the LS - luxury sedan, not the SC - sport coupe. The rest of his review is just negative fluff necessary to fill space and meet his editor's number of words requirement.
Certainly not worth the time to read it. In my mind all that really matters it how "I" feel when I drive it. Somewhere I've read it makes you "... Driving it makes you feel like a king.". I couldn't agree more!

This article has been talked about in the past. It still cracks me up to this day.. Just take a look at the comments under the review..Below is one i find amusing.. This is the guy at the bus stop working under upper level execs wishing he was in one of these vehicles. lol. kills me.

excellent review… this is one of the ugliest cars in the universe, driven by bored, pampared housewives of mid to upper level execs…on their way to the hair dressers and then the olive garden for lunch!
and they always try to look so cool when in them - especially with the tops down, always on the cell phone, trying to look important - its so ‘the king has no clothes” - always brings a smile to my face! Its the height of tasteless pomposity.

Interesting how the article comments in 2008-2010 were mostly negative but around 2012-on they became positive.
