I drove my 02 about 100 miles yesterday, I find 1 year old.battery dead overnight, I have a cracked door speaker, can it drain?...... I will drive to Auto zone tomorrow get the battery checked ....can it be alternator problem?

Damage to a speaker cannot drain a battery. Have the battery tested they can tell you if its OK or if somethiong else like alternator is bad - but generally if there is an electrical system problem - like alternator or voltage regulator problem you will get a warning light. 99% of premature battery failures are due to 1) excess heat damages and ages battery so it fail early 2) multiple total drains of battery caused by something like leaving lights on, door ajar etc. damges battery so it can no longer hold a full charge.

Yes, I may have left dome lights or door ajar overnight. the battery was not recharging fully because some cells were dead. I had to buy new battery. Is it possible to install a device to automatically shut off the things that drains the battery? with a timer (10/15 mins).
