Can you ship a battery by regular carrier? Probably not because of the lead acid. Like paint, it can not ship normal anymore.

Am looking at a special order Group 48, Fitment code 10 form Costco, hope it goes through.
This special order is not available to the general Costco members.
Just so happens I am pretty connected.

You are right Bob, it is just me.
The SC still runs good, keeping it charged on my trickle charger.
My contact at Costco has an SC as well, so it was a vested interest on his part as well. In fact I was the one who convinced him to get an SC and he is so happy!
Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I promise you an Emory Sweat shirt. Have a good friend who works for Emory. And we'll see each other one of these days.
When you get a chance to swing by ATL, holler.

The new battery is installed.
Here's a few pics (ok a lot) showing the original and the new Group 48 Costco battery. The Costco battery is shorter by 3/8" and I decided to not install the plastic cover because it was designed taller. One day I will cut it shorter and put it back. For now it is installed.
1 click now. Ready for winter.

Yes definitely. I have a unit that has the 1) fast charge (10amps), 2) trickle (2 amps) and 3) full up start.
Reasonably priced unit for $60 at Harbor Freight.
When they repaired my car for 30 days, the weak battery finally took a dive. I hooked it up immediately after I got it but too late.
But now, it is 1 click!

great write up Mandy.
whats the best battery I can get for less then $150?
I dont have Costco around here, but I do have
AutoZone and all the typical National Car parts store,
NAPA,
PepBoys,
Walmart,........
I can even order online if necessary, but I don't know where to begin.
thanks all.

Autozone $169 Optima
Use the $10 coupon from Pep Boys and see if they'll match. May be a few bucks over $150 with tax and everything.
