Welcome to the forum. If the SC430 has a weakness, then the speakers are it. Many members have replaced the speakers because of rattles or speaker coil failure. If I had to guess, I'd say you need a new speaker. These speakers are unique 6x9 ovals, 8 ohm and pricey (~$200). Make sure you register with Sewell's Lexus to get the CL discount. Also search this topic and you'll find others who adapted non OEM speakers. You'll also find instructions for removing the door panel for access. Good Luck.

Others have opted to do a simple repair. You may find both door woofer blown, and as in my case, the sub woofer behind the rear seat too. Seems the material used to attach the cone to the frame is, to say the least, highly suspect. If you use the "advanced search" tool near the top of the page and under "Search" you'll find several threads on speaker problems and the SC430. Using advanced search allows you to narrow the scope of your search to SC430s rather than the entire site.

I tend to doubt that it is a bad speaker, though I wouldn't rule out bad speakers also. Since the speakers tend to cut out going over bumps, the problem most likely is a bad connection.
Bad speakers will distort the sound and not be real picky about when they do it, other than being confined to specific frequency ranges. A bump shouldn't make a speaker cut out. That would be a physical electrical connection. Do both cut out at the same time?
I don't suppose that your car is under warranty, is it?
BTW, welcome to the forum.

OP,
Any chance you're running one of the Vais Tech audio adapters (for Satellite Radio, iPod input, etc)?
These require a Y-adapter and they've been known to get a bit intermittent over time (I know mine has failed, and 2 other forum members have had this same issue).
