The weather in Florida is perfect these days. The Cts-V has been getting no love as i took my mom and kids in LB for the grandmothers house turkey day pick up and drop off. 150 miles on I95 at 80mph top down felt great. I saw a 2010 Audi S4 with a 26K window price and stopped in. Always liked that car. 0-60 only a half second better, no drop top, inerior low rent, plastic dash, better handling, same mpg. Seems my 9 year old SC still holding up well against much newer cars. No trade considered this year.

Well, when you have such a timeless car like LB, especially if you are still rolling on those EXEs (which I would buy in a heartbeat if I could find them in an 18" version)., who would want another?
My sales guy at Park Place called me and asked if I'd be interested in trading for a 2010 that he "might be able to get his hands on..." I declined. Why would I? Alexus has 21K on her, 5 years warranty left and I love my car. I can't think of another car I'd want right now. I'll think about that in, oh, say 4.5 years.
But for now? It is SUNNY and 45 and I went topless to the grocery just now. Love it.

Audi has come a long way...BUT...My dad's 2004 S4 cab tranny just went out. $8k total...just replaced the tiptronic part about a year and a half ago too at the tune of $1500.
I like to "look" at Audis too...especially that S4 and the 4.0 V8 in that is a beast...the S8 is sweet, obviously the RS supercar...the newer editions Q5 and the S5 cab is nice too. I know better than giving up the great service and dependability on the Lexus.
I have often considered trading my other car...2009 FX35 for another convertible: Maserati Spyder 2006+, 2011 G37Convertible Limited Edition or a 2005-2007 Carrera 2S Cabriolet. I'm always scared off by the maintenance stories, top issues, fit and finish inside (porsche), etc etc. I looked at a $4k clutch repair on a 2006 Maserati with only 20k miles on it. I also looked at a top replacement on a 2006 Carrera (leaking) out of warranty for $2500. Not to mention the very dated porsche interiors. We are spoiled with the SC for sure.
If the IS-C redesign is a wider stance, lower sportier car than I might consider that one day. Looks like the sedan will be launched sometime in 2012 as a 2013 MY then the convertible will follow (hopefully).
To have a SC that's paid off, still looks and drives great and is tastefully updated is a dream IMO. The other car goes!
