Default 2006+ Owners: Ever Heard of "Switchback" Turn Signals? Interesting!

Looking for HID fog light kit and ran across these.

If I am understanding the concept correctly, your turn signals turn into LED driving lights and switch to amber blinkers when you turn on your turn signal?

Very cool. Watch the video too, shows how it works. If I had a 2006+ car I'd be getting these!

Not necessarily recommending this vendor (I'm sure our CL Vendors have something like this) but I have bought bulbs from them before and have been happy.

I used to have it in my TL. It's use in place where parking and signal lights share same bulb.

Interesting, but I guess it won't work on the SC.

Wouldn't it though? Turn signal bulb of the 06+ cars would be the "switch" wouldn't it???

I looked at my '06 with this in mind. The turn signal bulb mounts in at a 45 degree angle from horizontal. This means that the LED lamp will be pointing up toward the sky rather than straight ahead. This isn't an issue with a regular incandescent bulb but it would be weird with a lensed LED bulb. And, the OEM turn lamp only lights when the turns are on. I just don't see how this would work.
