Default IPOD NANO 6th Generation

I have a Vais unit in my 06 SC430 which I use with my iphone 4S. Recently I have been thinking of using an ipod nano with the Vais and just leaving it hooked up at all times. Is there any reason not to do this? Thanks in advance for your input.

I left an ipod video in my car at all times. Worked fine for a couple years. But eventually the heat fried the hard drive.

I leave an iTouch hooked up in the console all the time. Only take it out for updates. No problems.

I have an 8 gig nano hooked up in my LS glove box for last two years...no problems. Bought it used on ebay for about $60 expressly to be my glovebox jukebox...holds 60-70 CDs worth of music..

Mine has been in my 06 for a couple of years with no problems so far. The nano will fit down under the heater control, meaning that it is an invisible install.

I have the same system. Stays inside my console and only comes out for updates. You shouldnt have a problem leaving a nano in there.

I had my VAIS installed and run through to the bottom counsel compartment. I leave an Ipod classic there with it locked up.

Here is a pic of mine I posted a while back. Super easy to fit in there...a nano would fit great, especially a smaller one. Not sure if the 1st Gen Nanos would be too long?
