Default Daizen Polyurethane Bushings on a 2010..

Hey Guys,

Was wondering if its worth replacing OEM Bushings to Daizen Polyurethane on a practically new SC430 with around 8k miles..

I love my car to bits but quite dislike the way it feels from factory. I see alot of potential in the handling department which is why i am starting to consider these things. Coilovers and chassis strengthening are in the forecast but do not fit my financial budget for now.

What do you guys say? And which bushings exactly would i be looking at replacing.

Thanks Moe

If you don't mind voiding portions of your warranty, go for it. It's your car, do what make you happiest with it.

Just did this on my 2006, the difference is astonishing. Worth every $. Don't know why this would void your warranty.

I installed the Daizen steering rack bushings last week on my 05. Like harleydjce, the difference was amazing! My steering is a lot more precise and the wheel doesn't have the excessive play anymore. I ordered mine from TM Engineering http://www.tmengineering.net/suspens...n/make/sc.html It lists they fit 02-08 but I don't think there were any changes to the rack in '10. Verify the fitment first. I have the poly control arm bushings but haven't installed them yet.

Moe, I haven't done the steering rack bushing yet. I replaced all thr front end bushings with the kit from Daizen. Justdoing that removed any excessive steering play and sharpened up the handling considerably.

Hey guys,

I lifted the SC last night and looked at how am i to go around replacing the Steering Rack Bushings and couldn't figure out how its done. I hear that its a simple process but i must be missing something.. Can anyone who's done this mod brief me on what he did please?

I am sick of the steering feedback and want to order a set right away.

I followed the DIY guide on the GS forum. They have the same steering rack. Install time was about 30 minutes but I had access to a lift. Easy mod with very noticeable improvements. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sus...k-bushing.html

Bushings installed.. What a difference; hands down the best 40 bucks spent (minus shipping and labour that is )

How long am i expected to get out of these bushings?

I did this job on my GS. I installed Daizen bushings on my rack (super easy), upper and lower control arms (press needed). Lets just say this was a few years ago. Polyurethane bushings last a while.

I needed them bad. I'm on Daizen springs and they are pretty low. Shortly after the spring installation all the factory bushings went to crap which resulted in a horrible ride (vibration.. ect.). The bushings fixed that. Someone mentioned a while back not to use the uppers but I cant recall the specifics. If you search the GS forums I'm sure you will find more info.

I'm ready for more mod for my SC for 2012, Coilovers and maybe full kit (or just front lip)
This Daizen Polyurethane Bushings seem to be a good option too. Want to have it ready for install with the coilovers.

What the best place to order these?
