Hello and Merry Christmas to all, just bought my first SC430, a 2002 model in silver, very pleased with it so far and excited for some typical Houston weather allowing me to drop the top, only other convertible I owned was a BMW Z4, this car is much more less aggressive and a classier ride.
It has aftermarket 18 inch wheels which I would like to change, any suggestions which would give it a solid look would be appreciated, the current ones sit too far inside the arch, would like a more filling look especially on the rear.
Look forward to your thoughts.
Thanks!

Howdy. I'm from Clear Lake area! Also just bought an SC430 and had a Z4. Still love the Z4 though, at the track that was an amazing car!

Congrats on the purchase!

Hey, yeah I too loved mine but it was painful on a long journey and getting in and out made me feel old, I owned it a while ago when I was living in WA State, ended up trading it for a 330 CIC which was an awesome car too.
As far as the Lexus goes, I got mine from NorthSide Lexus, had it serviced the day after I got it (Thursday) and they told me it was in great shape with only 2 recommendations so pleased overall, just wanting to get the cheesy aftermarket wheels off it, saw some pie dish ones for sale but not sure I like those either, even though they are OEM and were on the car when it was born.

Hope you Christmas day went well! Cheers from Kingwood

Welcome and congrats on your SC430. Yes i agree the stock wheels are too sunken in. The only way to have the wheels sit more flush would be adding spacers or finding the right wheels with more agressive offsets.

Wait...if I remember correctly they had a white one with aftermarket wheels.

Post a pic when you can.

Welcome to the forum. Be sure to check out the stickies at the top of the forum page. There are tons of threads with advice of all kinds there and a lot about wheels in the stickies and throughout the forum. (Doing a search, you'll find all sorts of good advice that you won't be able to get anywhere else, including dealers.)

Ohh yes there's quite the story behind that car, that was the exact one I went to look at, when I arrived it was already sold, I was bummed out so went to look at the only other one in my price range, so as I am there getting everything sorted out with the silver one I now own, sure enough a wrecker shows up with the white one (you mentioned) in tow.

Turns out the new owner only made it downtown on I-45 before it threw a rod and became disabled on the freeway, so they will honor the "fix" and hes getting a re manufactured engine installed for free, lucky man but also a frustrated man too.
