It was cool, but also friendly, as the correct answer to his question was a simple "Yes."

There is a tension between trying to be nice and trying to get people to help themselves, rather than just posting every question that comes up and having the people in the forum do the work for them.

As you could see from my post, I simply cut/pasted your question into Google and instantly came up with the answer. So you got the answer you needed, but also a backhanded suggestion to search before posting.

Forums like this one are here to help, but there is sort of an unwritten rule that you don't waste the bandwidth of a forum until you've at least tried to solve the problem on your own (e.g. forum search, Google, etc.).

Sorry if the response upset you. And in answer to your last question, NO, everyone here is not an *******. I don't think you could have Googled that question so I don't mind answering.

Well and dipolmatically said Johnny!

There is a tipping point where answers are as close as your owners manual. When it takes less effort to look there than it does to log on CL, post a question and then wait for someone to respond with an answer which may, or may not, be correct. But those who believe they are entitled, sometimes referred as Gen X, seem to hold a different perspective.
In addition, although I may have limited experience in life at my age, generally I've found insulting those you are asking assistance of, rarely, if ever, expedites the dissemination of help. "For a man who is a master of patience is master of everything else." (http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/ke...patience.html#)
