Entering data while in motion
I have an '07 model. Is there a way to over-ride the nav and enter data while in motion? I would really like to use some of the phone functions while driving.

There's no "factory authorized" way. There are aftermarket devices you can use to modify the factory settings to override the speed sensor circuit (anything over 3mph disables many functions) so you can access the systems while in motion. One drawback of disabling speed sensor is the NAV system loses track of the car's correct position until it functionality is restored.
There is an override feature in older GEN 2/3 systems but Toyota/Lexus disabled the feature in its software. I believe their lawyers advised them to do so to mitigate liability from distracted driving claims.

We, Beat-Sonic have the override modules that you need to enter data while driving. For your 07 model, the correct module is the NT3203 if you have mark levinson and want video in motion in addition to acess to your nav address input. If you want just the nav address input, the correct module is the nvk-03.
You can check out the product details on
beatsonicusa.com
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!
EDIT: The correct module is NVK-01 for navigation controls. No video in motion modules are available.
I apologize for the confusion!

Your website does not list the SC as a compatible model for the NVK-03. Are you saying (money back) that it will work on an SC? Can you indicate which years?

With the NVK-01 you will be able to access the controls on the navigation unit while the vehicle is in motion. However, it will not allow video in motion (Play DVD while driving). We currently do not have the video in motion module for your model.
I will edit my above post to avoid confusion.
Thanks!

Is the NVK-01 always active 24/7 with no loss of anything?

The NVK-01 will not always be active. You will only activate it when you want to access your controls that are locked out during vehicle motion.
Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Does the device disable the speed sensor for a measured period of time or until the button is pressed a second time? If it is time, what is the length of time? Does or will beat sonic offer discounts to CL members?

Will or does Beatsonic offer discounts to CL members? While I understand it is more than a circuit interruption switch, with the harness to avoid cutting wires etc etc, speaking personally, $140 is pretty expensive for those components

At the moment, no discounts are available for the NVK-01. However, if there are enough interests, we are open to offer a group buy program as we did for the NT3203.
