My SC430 is not something I would take to a track. It isn't meant for it. I don't think too many people here bought their SC430 with the thought of track time in it.

About 9 months ago, the Speed channel (AKA Speedvision) had a 30 minute paid advertising from Lexus of the SC430 at a track in Southern California. My TiVo picked it up, but I have long since deleted it. You may want to also watch out for any of the car shows out there. They all profiled the 430 after introduction, and you may be able to pick up a rerun. If you have a TiVo, just set a Wishlist that searches for "SC430" in their program description and it will automatically pick it up for you.

I just did a quick search and found this video from Edmunds, not the greatest, but it's something:

Thanks guys for the links and the tips. As for the peoples who think that the buyer of sc430 did'nt think about going to the track with theire car, well I think it's very personnal. Originaly, it would have been quite easy to say the same about the sc400/sc300 when it got out and look what this club is about, load of owner modify their sc400/300. Why not the this one. Even Lexus seems to agree, look at their pace car...

o.k. I like what they did to make it roll-over improved but those Purple seats and other purple leather components have got to go! That is just poor taste in my opinion anyway!

I used to think that cherry red interior of the Nieman Marcus edition SC430 was the worst but this outranks it! It would be great for someone who is color blind though - LOL

I must agree with you purple is a nice concept for a show car but I could'nt suport it in my own car. Purple interior isn't for me at all. I believe that the nicest interior color offerd on the sc430 is the saddle interior. What do you think?

I love the Saddle and the Black BUT I went with black in my car because it would be easier for resale since more people dislike it than like it. The Saddle seems to be something folks either love or hate and it seems more people hate it. I still love the look of the saddle in the black sc430 but am not so sure about it any more in the red SC430 like mine

You know, I hear all the time about people take the "blue chip" colors like black on black and blue on tan. There all very nice colors, don't get me wrong here. But you know, when I shop for a collection car or a used car, I go back to my books and look what colors where offered, what they looked like, how they match. I always try to get the color that standed out from the others. The one that truly represented the creators of the car ideas. Like recently, I looked at a 1997 charcoal mercedes convertible with red leather, black carpet with red pipings and carbonfiber dash instead of wood. And you know what, of all the colors offered on that car, the one that aged the best, that still looks special and outstanding is this one. Of course, black is a classic. But I believe that the sc is a special second car. Not a daily commuter car. So I would try to have a special color scheme that would stand out and last over the years while staying sharp and rare.

Don't have any movies, but here is a shot of my SC430 at Buttonwillow. The car handles better than could be expected. The brakes were unbelivable. The electronics take much of the fun out of the track experience. Car was faster than many of the BMW's, Audi's and Honda's out that day.
