Ordered my air suspension!
Hi Guys
After a lot of thought and a trillion questions answered by Zack at Universial Air, I have ordered a full air suspension kit from them.
My SC is only lowered (on Megans) by one and three quarter inches, but the central crossmember still hits every speed bump and angled entrance ramp I drive over.
I have to avoid whole area's where they are, but still get caught out sometimes and I am fed up having to repair the crossmember (see photo).
The whole kit is a lot of dosh and looks like a massive install. The height sensors will be the hardest I am sure.
Be a few weeks before it all arrives in the UK as Zack is getting and adapting new bottom mounts for the Megans for me also.
Photos of the kit I have ordered below.
If anyone can offer any info on the install, I would be very grateful.
When I start the install I will post pictures etc as I go along.
Best regards
Steve

I intend to post as many details and pictures as I can.

Thanks for the offer, it's very much appreciated.
Did you manage to find any pictures of your install?
I intend to install myself, so hopefully if I have any issues Zack and you will be able to help.

Steve,
I didnt post a detailed build on the air setup. Maybe you can do that so anyone else that decides to go air can use your build as reference. I'll take off my wheels and try to get some pics on the height sensors to give you a general idea. The hardest part for me was the sensors but after I had an understanding of how the sensors were to be put on I felt like an idiot. lol. Keep me posted!

Thanks, but I have an aweful lot to do before I think that far ahead.
Will
Sorry, I did not know your name was the same as my Reg plate.lol
My nickname is Will because my surname is Willsdon and I have been called that since school.
I do intend to post as much info as I can, like I did with the Megan install, but this is a different class.
Hopefully I will feel like an idiot when it is done, but the room to fit the sensors is so limited under there. Pictures would be great, but do not go to too much trouble.
Mandy
Thanks, I will probably need it. lol

Steve,
Any progress?
Also I sent you a PM, requesting that you re-post the measurements you took for me on the location of the side markers, remember that? Thanks in advance.

No progress yet Mandy, waiting for a big parcel to arrive, probably a few weeks.
Unfortunately Megan do not have any bottom brackets for the rears in stock and Zack at Universail Air needs them so they can be adapted to fit the bags. Apparently 4 to 6 weeks lead time which is a bit of a bummer, but he is sending the rest of the kit over so I can make a start.

The kit has arrived now and I have made a start on the air management in the trunk.
Still waiting for the bottom brackets for the Megans. Zack is still having trouble getting them.
Mada a new floor over the wheel well/ tool tray to take the weight today.
When I have the tank etc sorted I will start to post pictures etc.
Here is a picture of the gear, the coffee cup didn't come with it. lol.

Zack has told me the bottom mounts for the Megans should be with him tomorrow so they should be ready to ship in a few days as soon as they have adapted them.
Hope to complete the tank install next weekend, will post pics as I go.

ahhh you got the eXo mounts. very nice.. You can actually paint them if you don't like the color or even have someone polish them before you mount them. You many different options. Might as well have it look nice as well. Here is how my trunk currently looks like but still not happy with how the water traps are showing. I might have to find a way to relocate them so that its just the tank showing. Again please keep us updated on your build.

Looks fantastic, your trunk is something else, wow, but see what you mean about the traps.
Just going to set mine up so it all works first as tidy as I can and maybe improve it at a later date. Can't see me getting it to look as sweet as yours though.
Looks like you have a five gallon tank, Zack sent me a four!!
Best regards
