Rear spoiler
I could use some help on this. I have a 2010 SC that came from the factory without a rear spoiler. I want to add a spoiler, and purchased one from Sewell. I went today to have it installed locally and the Lexus dealer said I needed a templet. There wasn't one with the spoiler. Called Sewell and they said it was a replacement spoiler, to replace one you already had. I checked with the local Lexus parts as well as Sewell and there are no templets, nor can you order any?????? All spoilers at Lexus parts are replacement. How do I get a spoiler installed? Thanks

I believe that it is held on with two faced tape . I remember if you want to take it off . You use fishing monofiliment line in order to get under the adhesive and not tear up the paint. I would just guess that you have to eye it and just use a grease pen to mark where you want it . You might try a good body shop that takes there time and has done this before

Okay that means it was installed at the factory with factory templates. The FSM will NOT have a "template".
Now the bad news, there are nineteen clips, two nuts and a whole lot of double sided tape involved in mounting the spoiler. IMO if its not perfectly, aligned, centered both horizontally and vertically it would really look bad. With what you've already spent on the car I'd say let the dealer do it. If its off, they'll have to fix it. Maybe these two PDF will help you decide this is not something you want to do yourself. I see two other options for you;
1. finding another owner who would be willing to let you look at their installation to take EXACT and make a template.
Or B. Call Lexus Customer Service and get them to do a scavenger hunt for the information/template you need.

Holy cow, another SC without a spoiler from the factory? Please take a pic for us. I saw my first SC430 without a spoiler at the last Dallas SC430 get-together. I didn't know that was even an option.
scdroptop said t was an option when the first SC430 came out but I'm surprise it's an option on a 2010.

My window sticker does not show the spoiler. I have seen other window stickers where the spoiler was a $440 option. For some reason, I am the second owner, this car came without the spoiler option.
I have a picture but don't know how to post it?
