Front lower control arms replacement quote
Took my 04 (100,000 miles) in for alignment as tires had severe wear on inner edge. Come to find out bushing on front lower control arms are coming apart and need to be replaced before alignment. But in order to get to bushing, entire lower control arm assembly need to be replaced (can someone confirm this??)? Anyway, work was done at local goodyear autoshop and using aftermarket part, i got a quote for $275/piece plus $237.50 for labor on each. Total - $1025. I got a call out to my lexus service advise for dealer quote but how much should I expect? Anyone with this issue? I need to move forward asap as tires have 1/32 on inner edge!!!

Here's a pair of lower control arms with bushings installed for $141 - new, not remanuf., but maybe not OEM?

Front suspensions on these cars are really easy to work on. If I lived near you I'd be happy to install them for the labor charge you were quoted!

Thanks! Any experience ordering from this website?
Perhaps i can look into buying parts myself and paying dealer for labor only. I can do as much as changing out a cabin filter.... that's about it.
i'm going to take the car to another bodyshop tomorrow for second opinion. Wish I can find normal vs wear lower control arm pictures for comparison.

I've ordered once from them - no issues. I'm sure you can find an independent shop that will do it with your parts. There's really no unusual aspects to the job that would require a Lexus/Toyota tech.

Hopefully, doing this will not only result in better tire wear, but also have a secondary benefit of improving your overall suspension and ride. Some recommend doing exactly this to improve suspension problems, which are a known problem in some of the earlier model SC's.

I've done some 'search' and found Daizen product is fairly popular but I can't get anyone at TM engineering (one of authorized seller per Daizen's website' to respond to my email. So my question is, are they selling bushing kit only? Meaning i still need to keep my old lower control arm assembly? From talking with different body shop, getting these old bushing out is extremely hard therefore complete replacement is the only way to go. i'm confused... any help?
Also, i'm getting non-lexus dealer to replace both arms at $800 to $850 for pair? Sounds reasonable?
