Hi lextacy,
I would ask why would you want to?
When I had my BMW 840 the H & R springs were the hot thing.
Then a BMW mechanic in the SFO bay area did some checking and some testing. He found that the so-called 'better' springs were just a spring from a Ford truck that H & R were selling as a better spring; hey, they fit so why not. Then he found out that the 'better' springs were actually softer than the original BMW springs.
I'll never touch another H & R product again.
Just my 2 cents worth,
Jerry Baumchen

I have used H&R exclusively in the last few years. I had them on an Acura Integra, Honda Prelude, Infiniti FX45, and am currently using them on my 325iT.
I have never had any problems with them. In fact in the BMW world they are highly recommended. Even top shops like Turner Motorsports recommends them.
In fact I am so enthusiased with them, I am currently rocking their PCS Coilover System on my 325iT (retail 1950, but can be had for around 1500). I like them and will continue to use them.

Thanks All for the input. I want to improve the handling, as we all know. Ive had h&r springs before and love the ride. Just wondering why H&R will eat oem struts faster than TTE?

No matter what they will all blow the stock struts eventually since the struts aren't designed to be compressed all the time creating less travel.

thats what i've been told. must use 04 struts and then your can use any spring from 02 to 04 . like i said i use Swift Sport Springs the drop is .8 front .6 rear i think they are a great spring for handling and a great ride. there are guys on the forum that did it. having to stiff a springs is not the ticket, having the right spring is for handling. at the present time Bilstein is making GS300 dampers to fit my 430sc rear. they already did my fronts. fronts not installed yet. my Swift Sport Spring rate is 325 front and 291 rear.
