Default Open navigation surgery

Today I met the infamous dynamic due Johnny Cake and Habious

I went and broke a wire on my navigation unit when i was taking it out of the dash.to do an install
of mod. Then I could not get the navigation unit to go back in. So I asked Habious what I should do, He offered to try and help me. You gotta love this Lexus group.

I met Habious and Johnny Cake today at there location . I drove 150 miles and i would of driven twice that if I had to,

Habious is some proficent electronic whiz. He installed a new pin out in the connector I ripped
the wire out of. It was like open heart surgery. you have not lived untill you have seen your dashboard missing the radio, the navigation unit wood trim panels. It all went back together
and it all works.

Cant thank them enough

As if my ego wasn't big enough...you go and post this!

All kidding aside, was great to meet Buddy and help him out. You had to read his PM's about the problem he had. He was so distraught. I felt I HAD to offer to help him out.

I'm glad it was an easy fix. I had all the confidence in the world that we'd sort something out to get him back up and running. He was a little less confident.

The only thing we forgot to do was take a picture of all 3 SC's lined up in the driveway. My '03, Buddy's '05, and Tom's '06.

How do you get the covers (wood grain panels) off the Nav unit? I have panel tilt problems and need to check out the switch and tilt motor.

There is a great do it your self on how to remove the wood . I think Habious was the originator on it. Do a search you should find it. If not I will look in my notes and send you the link later

Just one question: who's this "Tom" guy?

I would have liked a video of the three cars and synchronized Luxlink top down.

Yes it could of been and Esther Williams syncronized top drop. I wish I would of thought of that. I was so happy my sc430 autopsy proved It was still alive . I thought I was up a creek with no paddle or warranty. .
