Can i use aftermarket speakers on a 2002 lexus sc430
I have a 2002 lexus sc430 and the mark levenstion speakers are starting to go bad. Would i be able to put aftermarket speakers instead of mark levenstion if i keep the head unit. Or do i have to put mark levenstion speakers in?

Sure can....just have to find ones with the proper ohm rating (otherwise you will burn out the ML amp) and the proper depth (otherwise you could break the glass when you put the window down).
There are lots of thread on speaker solutions for the ML speaker problem. Some include a $40 speaker repair kit, or for a few more bucks they'll do it for you.

I used to have the DC gold.. overpriced honestly.. one of them actually blew on me. The cone came apart.. so I fixed my old factory ML 6x9 and regret spending money where its not needed. your best bet is fixing them and save the $$$.. also After using multiple speakers to try out.. the ML speakers sound the BEST with the ML system.

I've used them for 2 years now and have had no problems with them. You had a problem you should have sent them back under warranty. Warranty is for 3 years. No other give 3 years. Like I said no problems with them at all. I have not heard of anyone else having problems. Sometimes you can get a bad speaker.Thats why they give a 3 year warranty. They work for me.

That's a question only you could answer. But before you answer it here's something to consider : A SPEAKER REPAIR KIT FOR LEXUS 6x9 DOOR WOOFERS If you follow the link, make sure you watch the video on their site (link is on the left side of the page).
Or let them do it: http://www.simplyspeakers.com/toyota...er-repair.html
I have no interest with this company other than I have used their service in the past and was satisfied.

Bacardi, I got Mark Levinsons. Went to Best Buy and spoke to one of the geek squad who told me to go to www.parts.com. They arrived in 3 days and were in original, unopened Toyota boxes with the original part numbers on them. They sound great.
