Welcome to CL. Congrats on your purchase! Silver and black is a very nice color combo. Your car looks mint.

It really feels like a brand new car. The guy even did the timing belt.

Any issues with yours? Do you have the run flats?

Lou
You did a little better than I. I paid 25K but it was from a "stealer" I mean dealer. Oh well. But still a great car for the money. They gave me a 30 day bumper to bumper warrenty and I had them check the brakes plus at week 3 the oxygen sensor went out and they replaced it free of charge. I also got a 60K 5 year extended warrenty which covers most everthing with $100 deductable. They say if after 5 years have past and no charges on the warrenty then they refund all but $50. I look at it as cheap insurance. Plus because of the low miles my Credit Union gave me a new care loan of 2.75%

So far I paid $200 to have the rear head rests recovered. The leather was pulling awa from the back edge. I replaced the serpentine belt and cabin air filter. Plus I bought an up to date version 11 GPS DVD for about $150. I also replaced the door woofers which were blown $110 for some 200w Kenwoods. What a world of difference in the sound.

I just bought 4 new/used allow wheels with "twist" center caps. They wanted to sell them with the wheels. I paid $400 with shipping. I plan on swapping out the caps and re-selling the wheels. Do any of you need a replacement wheel or 4????? PM me and let me know.

I was wondering if a full size wheel and run flat would fit in the trunk. Do any of you know? Donut spares are running between $250-$290. If I only need a spare when I go over 100 miles from home, I wonder if a full size spare would be a better option.

I've named her "Silva Bullet" and am thinking about getting a tag SLVABLT or BLUSKYZ or BLUZSKY or 1FASTSC. So many options but we will see what is available

Great looking sc! I love my 2004 but wasn't as pristine as yours. I have fixed most things and am on to the mods. I named her Silver Bullet (tags slvblt) but folks confuse the tag for silver belt ... I was thinking of the Lone Ranger!

Ahhhhh....much nicer! I like and am biased toward your color scheme. Is that a door edge guard I see??? If so, details please.

Yes it is a door edge. The previous owner had put several dings in the edge of the door before installing a clear door edge protector. It looked nasty with black gunk under it so i replaced it with chrome door edge protector. About $12 for 25 feet at Autozone. I tried to match the ends up with the body seam at the bottom of the door. Much better.

BTW It comes in Clear, Black or Chrome but there might be other colors

Coach it was nice to meet you too. Thanks for the great price on the Mazda RX-7 spare tire. I just found the spare tire cover (part number 64771-24040) and trunk carpet for trunks with spare tires (part number 64711-24170) online. So I will be getting those soon.

I bought the twist star center caps I also bought the wheels that they came on since the seller wanted sell the wheels with the center caps. It only took 20 minutes or so to swap out the caps.

I then cleaned up these new wheels so that I could sell them. As fate would have it the new rims have very few scuffs where as the ones that are on my car have some curb rash from the previous owner. So this weekend I will be having the tires and valve stems/pressure monitors swapped from my cars wheels to these new rims. But then I will have to swap the twisties back to these rims too. I wish I had looked at the condition of the rims first and saved myself some time. Oh well LOL

I will post som photos of the rims I want to sell in the clasifieds within the next month after they are off of the car and cleaned up. PM me if you might be interested in one or all four
