Hi Richard - I guess it's been law here for so long I don't even think about it any more. Just get in, and buckle up. Sometimes even when I'm just backing out of the garage to wash the car.

I’m with marrp. Buckle up became the automatic action anytime I get in the car. The chime is nice reminder and it doesn’t bother me a bit.

Don't get me wrong, guys. I wear my seatbelt ALL the time, except going 5-10 MPH down our driveway after getting out and checking our mailbox. But now that I have set it off, the reminder chimes 5 times when you first start the car, then any time thereafter (as long as you don't turn the car off), the seatbelt will not chime. It's convenient only in a few cases - like mine.
