Twist or Pie?

I bought the twist star center caps I also bought the wheels that they came on since the seller wanted sell the wheels with the center caps. It only took 20 minutes or so to swap out the caps.
I then cleaned up these new wheels so that I could sell them. As fate would have it the new rims have very few scuffs where as the ones that are on my car have some curb rash from the previous owner. So this weekend I will be having the tires and valve stems/pressure monitors swapped from my cars wheels to these new rims. But then I will have to swap the twisties back to these rims too. I wish I had looked at the condition of the rims first and saved myself some time. Oh well LOL

Unfortunately the tire pressure sensor/valve stems are not on the new wheels. I'm thinking of reselling the new wheels and not swaping them out if anyone is interested. I will be posting them in the classifieds.

well they only last around 5-8 years you should probably buy a new set of four and have them put on the new wheels next time you need tires and then sell your old wheels with the old sensors. On my 2IS I can program two sets of sensors (one for summer one for winter) I am not sure if thats the case with the SC but if it is you could even just program the second set as your "winter" tires and keep all 8 sensors and sell the old wheels.

I've decided to sell the wheels with the twist center caps. They are in really good shape. here is a link to the classified ad. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc4...ml#post7316368

Cadzilla...if you are selling your twisties...what have you decided to go to....or did I miss a pic somewhere. I'm new and still learning to navigate site.
I just purchased a 2005 SC but I haven't a clue what I need. I have the pie's too, and am desperate to replace when my car gets out the shop. That will come in a few weeks after I get some other issues handled.
Can you post pics of what you replaced twisties with?? Would love to see.

I stumbled on an other set of twisties and decided that the rims might be easier to sell with twisties on them then with no center caps at all. I've already got an offer on just the twisties but I would like to see if I can sell all together first.

You sound like me. I thought my pie shells were cute until I found this site and saw how outdated they are. This club is making me spend money

Well, the "twisties" arrived today. It took me longer to drive to the post office then it did to install them and I must say the look great. I am so glad to have made the change.
