Oh yes you are the one who is doing that, I might have some question for you regarding that.

As far as damping goes, you think the Sport is too heavy and HD is too light? That's why you are revalving your sport to 10% heavier then the HD?

I don't like the ride to be too firm now a days either, but I wonder if the HD is too light for me.

Default TRD GS430 Front Sway Bar in the SC430 AWESOME!!!!

Yeah baby,
Last night removed the TRD's from my gs430 and installed them in the SC430. Wow! absolutely no problems with install. need 10mm to remove plastic shields and 12mm for removal of sway.

Took the car out on the curvy roads and pushed her pretty hard. Night and Day. Should have done this on day 1!

as for the backs I'm going to pull it from the gs and see where there might be a problem.

i have a couple of photos but have to figure out how to post them.

very happy!

Thank you for the confirmation!

For the back, just look at it. The GS bar is straight and the SC bar is bent, there is a bracket right smack in the middle that you have to clear.

Default The backs?

Front TRD blues work and install perfect. The back... After looking at the bracket I wonder how much support it really offers to the cross bars. Anyone think creating a passage way through that bracket (dear I say drill a hole) would create any major change?

I've also wondered would the back really make any significant change? From driving this week I have not noticed any real sloppiness from the rear on curves and I am on stock wheels and struts!

Maybe the back would just be for completeness?

Just wondering, thanks.

i had ordered the Daizen sway bar bushing upgrades before I ordered my TRD sway bar, should I use the TRD bushings that came with the bar or the Daizens? Also should I even bother replacing my rear sway bar bushings? I will also be replacing the steering rack bushings and the control arm bushings.

i used the bushings that came with the TRD bars. I also had the daizens from TM. I believe the diazens diameter is for the stock bars. The TRD blues are thicker.

Any ideas about that rear bracket on the sc430. Wondering if I should leave it alone and just get coilovers?

thanks guys and happy soaring.

I ordered the front blue bar and it just arrived. I imagine the install is pretty straight forward.

Finished the install today. I downloaded the manual for the F-Sport GS Sway Bars from Sewell and used the cited torque settings. 36 ft-lb (49 N m) for the brakets and 62 ft lb (84 N m) for the bar links. The 2010 manual is found in the following link (the 2004 bar is shown in the pictures):

http://lexus.sewellparts.com/accesso...2010/2889.html

I notice that the bushings included with the 2GS front sway bar are NOT the new high durometer oil impregnated rubber bushings that come with the F-Sport sway bar. These bushing are much softer than the Daizen bushings. I also see this note at Sewell re. F-Sport bushings:

"All bars equipped with new, improved bushing set as of 4/29/2010. All old stock has been removed."

I think the bushings that come with the 2GS sway bar are the older soft bushings. At some point I will write Sewell to ask if they can sell the new bushings that come with the GS F-Sport front sway bar.

Installation notes:

Because of the shorter total length of the 2GS front sway bar the bar links get stretched toward the center of the car. Make sure you do NOT tighten the bolts/nuts until all the bolts for the link bars in inserted. I did and on one side I couldn't get the 2nd bolt in the bar link untill I went back and lossened everything. Other than than the install was straight forward. I did find that I was missing several screws for the under-cover. I will order some and replace later.

These are for a 2010 GS not for a 2GS?
