Default New SC430 Question on Spiders staggered and TPMS and Tires

I have option to get good deal on set of new G-Spiders but still looking for a set here too

I know that 7 years is considered to be average life of TPMS sensors and figure let me 5 spoke silver OEM rims stay complete with the Pilot tires intact with the TPMS sensors inside

Why pay to have them removed and just buy a set of new for 240
the 3 volt sealed battery is not replaceable

Anyways....

Has anyone got pictures of know if the SC430 can handle the Spiders all the way around in the 8.5" or will the fronts stick out too much or are many of you happy with the staggared setup

New tire on the market is blowing away the DWS Conti and I think is very good Alternate to the Pilot which at $1,000 is crazy, and found superior tire for only $600

ask me if ya want to know

Regards, James (aka Spiderman)

I have the G-spiders but not in a staggered set-up. I wanted to rotate my tires front to back without issues. I also disconnected my TPMS.

I have a hard time believing any tire that blows away the Conti's!

Hmmmm....is this beginning of a marketing ad? Will have to keep an eye on this thread.

My TPMS sensors are 11 years old and, dare I say it and jinx myself, still working. My car has always lived in temperate areas, never exposed to the harshness of cold winters that sap battery life. The TPMS sensors DO NOT have replaceable batteries in the sense of pop them out and snap in new ones, so when they die you should replace the whole unit. The next time I replace my tires I'll probably need four new sensors so makes sense to do it then.

18x8.5 is fine all the way around, and no it wont stick out at all in fact it will look sunken in just like the pie plates, its .5 wider by the offset is also less aggressive than the 18x8 counter part. The end result is about 1mm of wheel sticking out further in the front with a 18x8.5 versus 18.8 gspider. The plus is that you can mount 255/40/18 tires.
