For those who have not heard... Beatsonic is doing a group buy on their new adapter for our OEM SC430 radios. ( I have no financial interest in this company whatsoever. ) Here is the link: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/clu...ml#post7270282

Thanks for the heads up Bob. I'm not sure who worked with Beatsonic to bring it about (guessing it was Bob), but thanks to you also. I suspect that most folks would rather not commit without knowing what the end price will be, hopefully they will get enough of a response to bring the price down to the $300 level though.

its not a cheap mod lets say 350 for beatsonic + a decent head unit 1k + back up camera + any other options...your gonna be around 1500 assuming your installing everything on your own and thats not replacing any speakers in your car. Thats why I want to just get the beatsonic and keep it until I find a good deal on a head unit. Depending on work I might be able to do an install on my own but that seems doubt ful so Id expect to pay around 200 to install everything at least.

Bob,
Wouldn't this adapter work with other Lexus vehicles like the LS430 also? If so, if we let the other guys know, there would likely be quite a few more to sign up.

That's a good question...I don't know if the electronics (the three modular connectors in the back of our head unit) are the same. I suspect they are not identical.

We just need one more person to hit the $350 price point, but with all these members with outdated stereos we can do better than that!

True its not a cheap mod but with the Beatsonic adapter you can retain the factory navigation function. If you're happy with its mapping you can purchase a non-navi mobile video unit in the $500 range, add that to the price of a discounted Beatsonic unit and you're under $1000 for a DIY. Want more bass, just add a sub and mono amp considering repaired or fully functional Mark Levinson speakers will provide adequate miss and highs with a nicely equalized aftermarket HU.

Actually, its less than $500, you can find new Kenwood (DDX-719) and JVC (KW-AV70BT) models in the $360-400 range on ebay, Kenwood and JVC are the same company now by the way. My navigation disc gets me almost everywhere i want to go and when it doesn't pull up i simply use my iPhone to guide the way. I'm planning to repair my ML speaker foam, ebay has kits in the $25 range or if the foam is intact but detached silicone will work just as good.

Those are not chrome trims on the tails right? Or is it a mirage?
