I believe that it will have to be programmed but just call or email Sewell, they are very good at answering our questions.

Not sure about this but my dealer told me my 03 has a different kind of sensor from newer models and it is much harder to program. Bought 08 wheels and had all sensors replaced under warranty at over 600$

For what it's worth, after i blew i tire and rim on a pothole, my tire guy took the old sensor and installed it in the new wheel. no reprogram, no Lexus $$$.

I had 4 wheels replaced and used the old sensors on all. 03, no problems. The car recognizes the sensors on the new wheels.
